LATEST PAINTING

I paint with oils, with similar techniques as the old masters but updated.

INSIDE AND OUTSIDE

My paintings are unique because they are based on real, lived experiences, capturing fleeting moments of beauty in urban environments and the natural world.

Experiential art is as unique as a fingerprint, and more necessary than ever in today's world of rapid technological innovation and upheaval.

I paint in response to my environment, to express ideas and feelings, which is something a computer cannot do. Machines can only simulate the beating heart, never know what it is.

I am fascinated by colour theory, in particular the findings of Chevreul, Goethe and the French Impressionists. Recent work applies colour theory, enhancing compositions with use of contrasting colours and exploring effects of light and shadow.

SUPPORT LOCAL ARTISTS

I use only premium, professional artist-quality materials that are sourced from local business. This is to ensure each painting is not only beautiful but made from sustainable, ethically sourced materials and built to last for generations to come.

I reinvest any earnings from my business back into producing and exhibiting more art. As such, investing in one of my paintings will not only beautify your living space, it is made to last, and you are supporting local business.

BRUNSWICK STREET GALLERY SHOW 2024

It was a career highlight and wonderful experience for me to show a suite of urban landscapes at Brunswick Street Gallery (BSG) in 2024.

ART AT ST FRANCIS 2025

I was invited to show a solo exhibition at Art at St Francis in April 2025, in the heart of Melbourne City.

SHIFTING GEARS

My next solo show is booked at Artemisia gallery, Windsor (Melbourne) for June 2026. Now that I live and work in a studio in Belgrave, on the outskirts of Melbourne, my artwork is reflecting much more of the natural world: forests and nature rather than urban architecture.

My most recent work is forest landscapes that include imagined elements: ruined buildings glimpsed through clearings, forest giants, forgotten shrines and wildlife. The paintings are in a realistic style, yet with dreamlike/anachronistic aspects.
